Insertion & Removal Tools

Insertion & removal tools are hand tools designed for contact installation and removal on Deutsch connectors, specifically DT, DTM, DTP connectors. These tools make it easy to insert and remove/extract contact pins from the connector without damaging either. One side of the insertion and removal tool is often meant to insert pins, while the other is for extraction.

To install a contact, ensure it’s aligned with the correct hole on the connector. Then, use your tool (insertion side) to gently press the contact into place until you hear a clicking sound. To extract/remove the contact, align your tool (removal side) over the wire, press it toward the contact to trigger the release fingers, and gently remove your contact.
