OEM/ODM Collaboration FAQs
Q1: What is the total square footage/meterage of your R&D and manufacturing bases?
IWISS operates a dual-center structure for R&D and operations, as well as precision manufacturing. Our global operations, R&D headquarters, and the "Blue Giant" Tool Testing Laboratory are located in the Future Science and Technology City, Yuhang, Hangzhou, China, with a self-owned modern office space of 1,100 square meters. Our precision manufacturing and core logistics hubs are situated in Yueqing and Zhuji city, Zhejiang (our Zhuji facility serves as our core strategic supply chain manufacturing base, and our Yueqing manufacturing center boasts a self-owned facility with a 5,500 sqm building area).
Q2: What is the percentage split between your own brand (OBM) and OEM/ODM sales? Will this cause any direct conflict with our brand?
IWISS enforces a strict "Dual-Track Strategy" that balances our own brands and major OEM accounts. Currently, our proprietary brands (IWISS / iCrimp) stably account for over 50% of revenue, while major OEM accounts are capped at around 40% (including deep offline and online OEM collaborations with global home improvement retail giants). We focus deeply on our core track, resist capital hijack, and adhere to a long-term, stable family-managed model. For physical hardware tools, we isolate brand conflicts 100%, ensuring no direct competition with your brand and offering mid-to-high-end complementary support.
Q3: For parallel crimping tools, how do you achieve the "anti-misalignment/anti-tilting design" through mechanical structures?
IWISS is fully executing a 3-year R&D roadmap for our "Parallel Crimping Tool Ecosystem," fully benchmarking our product design and performance against top-tier European precision crimping manufacturers. Through our mechanical linkage geometric locking structures backed by over 85 global patents, we achieve absolute vertical parallel compression. This completely eliminates the tilting and misalignment common in traditional frames when crimping large-cross-section or high-precision terminals. Replicating our proven blockbuster product strategy, we have built a modular system of "fewer universal frames + mainstream quick-change dies + niche tool kits (Solar, Power, Automotive, etc.)" to deliver a massive technological generation gap advantage and navigate market cycles successfully.
Q4: How do your crimping tools match the technical parameters of global mainstream connectors or piping systems?
Our high-precision 4-indent crimping tools, new-energy (Solar MC4/Energy Storage/EV), and automotive connector crimpers are perfectly suited to mainstream connector standards, including TE, Amphenol, and Molex. Concurrently, 30% of our core product line is dedicated to PEX piping tools, perfectly matching top piping systems like Uponor and Viega. All products are ISO 9001 and CE certified before leaving the factory and undergo ultimate tensile strength and Go-No-Go gauge consistency testing in our "Blue Giant" lab, ensuring industrial-grade compatibility.
Q5: How do you ensure brand segregation on tools and packaging to prevent potential copyright or trademark disputes?
IWISS owns trademarks in 45 countries worldwide and has successfully secured a global trademark coexistence agreement with top-tier international tool groups, including APEX. We implement a rigorous dual-track separation logic and visual system: 1. For [Physical Hardware Products], manual crimping, stripping, and cutting tools 100% exclusively use the [iCrimp] trademark, with "a brand of iwiss" molded on the inner handle to completely isolate copyright frictions on the hardware. 2. For [High-Dimensional Ecosystems] (outer packaging, manuals, product catalogs, booth designs, and future automation/intelligent robotics), the parent brand [IWISS] is uniformly applied to demonstrate our technological foundation and premium positioning.
Q6: What credit terms can your company accept for bulk purchasing? Do you accept usance L/C or O/A (Open Account)?
As a globally operating precision tool and solution provider, IWISS management adheres to highly pragmatic and robust financial risk control principles:
- Prepayment First: Our default global trade policy mandates secure prepayment strategies (e.g., T/T prepayment or Irrevocable Letter of Credit at sight).
- No Credit Terms for Non-Top Tier Clients: For accounts that are not internationally renowned brands or market-leading enterprises, credit terms will not be considered under any circumstances.
- Strategic Account Executive Approval: Only for industry-leading giants or high-volume OEM partners, and strictly after passing comprehensive credit insurance vetting, can an application be submitted to IWISS top management for a case-by-case special credit term review.
Q7: Do you have localized fulfillment centers in North America and Europe? How do you assist us in managing cross-border supply chain risks?
IWISS possesses highly robust, globally localized fulfillment and risk-mitigation capabilities. We operate established foreign entities, including our US subsidiary (IWISS USA INC.), German subsidiary (IWISS GmbH), and Japan branch, equipped with proprietary trademarks in 45 countries and strong localized warehousing and after-sales support. With Hong Kong serving as our capital management and distribution hub, we ensure seamless US dollar cash flow allocation and fulfillment across our multinational supply chain even in extreme market scenarios. Our dual-website matrix (iwiss.com focused/OEM and icrimptools.com dedicated to B2C retail), paired with Western domestic warehouses, guarantees powerful localized support and premium fulfillment for high-end customers despite shipping bottlenecks or tariff volatility.
